It was a busy Wednesday for General Manager Basil McRae and the London Knights, parting ways with a pair of players in exchange for draft picks.
They traded 17-year-old defenceman Ben Gleason to Hamilton in exchange for a second round pick in 2017, and a conditional 15th round pick in 2019. The second rounder will be London’s original pick, that they traded to Belleville in a 2012 deal that landed the Knights Michael McCarron.
In a separate trade London dealt another 17-year-old, sending forward Drake Rymsha to Ottawa for a second round pick in 2018 and a conditional 15th round pick in 2019.
Gleason and Rymsha are both eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft.
