Former OHLers Represent Canada At Spengler Cup

Six former OHLers will suit up for Canada when it opens the Spengler Cup on Boxing Day.

Hockey Canada announced the 23 man roster Tuesday, which included Mark Flood, Blake Parlett, Cory EmmertonNick Spaling, Gregory Campbell and Dustin Jeffrey.

Former NHLers Mason Raymond, Andrew Ebbett, Marc-Antoine Pouliot and Drew MacIntyre are also with the team.

Montreal goalie prospect Zach Fucale will be between the pipes, he’s been with the Habs ECHL affiliate in Brampton. He’ll be joined by Jordan Cooke (University of Saskatchewan) and Drew MacIntyre. MacIntyre is one of five player’s returning from last year’s gold medal winning squad.

With 13 tournament championships, and a chance to repeat for the first time since 2002-2003, Canada is making its 33rd consecutive appearance in the tournament when it kicks off on Boxing Day.

Blake Parlett – Barrie/Windsor/Mississauga (2005-2010)
Nick Spaling – Kitchener Rangers (2005-2008)
Gregory Campbell – Plymouth.Kitchener (2000-2003)
Dustin Jeffrey – Mississauga/Sault Ste. Marie (2004-2008)
Cory Emmerton – Kingston/Brampton (2004-2008)
