Vilardi and Sproviero score twice to lead Kings and Sarnia to wins

Kingston 4 – Barrie 2 (series tied 2-2)

Another two goal game from Gabriel Vilardi helped Kingston even their second round series with Barrie at two. 

Linus Nyman (1g 2a) scored the game winner shorthanded with 2:03 left in the third period. Cliff Pu (1g 1a) added the insurance marker into the empty net.

Dmitry (1g 1a) and Lucas Chiodo scored for Barrie, Andrei Svechnikov had a pair of assists.

Jeremy Helvig made 30 saves for the Fronts, Leo Lazarev turned aside 32 shots.

The home team has won every game so far in the series, game five is Thursday night in Barrie.


Sarnia 4 – Kitchener 1 (SAR leads series 2-1)

The Sarnia Sting followed up their overtime win in game two with a victory on home ice.

Franco Sprobiero had another strong game with a pair of goals, while game two OT hero Sean Josling (1g 2a) once again factored in on the offence.

Jonathan Ang scored a shorthanded goal, his second goal of the playoffs.

Joseph Garreffa’s 7th of the post season was the only puck that got in behind Justin Fazio, who made 26 saves in the Sarnia net.

The Sting host the Rangers for game four Thursday night.
