The Nashville Predators have inked two of their 2019 draft picks to entry level deals.
Philip Tomasino (Niagara IceDogs) and Egor Afanasyev (Windsor Sptifires) both signed three year deals with the NHL club this week. Afanesyev was selected in the second round (45th overall), while the Preds drafted Tomasino in the first (24th overall).
Both are off to hot starts this season, Tomasino is following up his 34 72 point season (34g 38a) with 9 goals and 23 points through his first dozen games of the season, which leads Niagara.
Afanesyev is in his first season with Windsor, he was part of last year’s trade that sent Michael DiPietro to the Ottawa 67’s.
He has five goals and 12 points in his first 11 games.
