Generals acquire Jordan Kooy

The Oshawa Generals have added goaltender Jordan Kooy from the Sarnia Sting for a trio of draft picks.

Originally drafted by the London Knights in the 8th round of the 2016 OHL draft, he was traded from London to Sarnia earlier in the season. He was also drafted by the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

In six games for the Sting posting a 4.53 GAA and a 0.889 save percentage.

The Sting receive Windor’s 2nd round pick in 2020, Oshawa’s 5th round pick in 2022, and a conditional 3rd round selection in 2024.

The OHL Trade deadline is Friday, January 10th, the final day for over age players to be moved is Thursday, January 9th.
